***Points Race Update***
There will be no Points Race qualifying heats in any age group.

Teams who intend to do the team events must register and pay by the close of registration, but final team rosters won't be required until later in the week. If someone pays for a team and doesn't end up filling out their team they can get a refund.

Packet pick-up is available throughout the week, but please try to pick up your packet and confirm your entries as soon as possible during the week. Packets must be picked up no later than one hour prior to the beginning of the rider's first racing session. The rider's license must be presented for packet pick-up.

Event Date
Tuesday, Sept. 2 through Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008
The event will be conducted over six days instead of the previous five-day format. This will give each age group a day during the schedule for rest and sightseeing, and will also shorten the duration of most racing sessions. The dates for the event were chosen to avoid conflicts with the Olympics and the World Masters Road Championships.

Rules of Note
USA Cycling has confirmed that men AND women riders under age 55 must be category 1-3 to enter the points race. Riders in the Madison also have to be category 1-3. There are no other category restrictions.
Rules applicable to Masters Championships are found beginning on page 112, section 6G of the 2008 Rulebook.
Riders who hold Elite status per USA Cycling rules may NOT compete in the USA Cycling Master Track National Championships. The USAC definition of Elite status is here.

Voler to provide
BAR jerseys
Voler has been providing high-quality National Champion's jerseys in recent years and in 2008 they will also provide a special jersey for the Best All-Around Rider in each age group. Riders score points for top ten finishes in each of the four individual events for their age group. The BAR winners will be presented at the conclusion of the individual events on Saturday evening.
